ATTLG picks up right where Alice In Wonderland left us at, which should have been the end of it all, in my opinion. This sequel is virtually pointless. Perhaps this is why Tim Burton is not big of sequels, period.

If it's made right the first time, there is no need for a sequel, or even a reboot. That's not to say that ATTLG does not have it's moments. Trust me, they are there. However, they are in small spouts.

Part of the problem I had with the film was the fact that Mad Hatter was barely in it. True, he was sick, and it was up to Alice to try to save him while traveling through time. Johnny Depp just didn't seem to be into his character to me. The entire movie seemed hollow.

It's sad, because it is very clear that they spent a lot of time making this movie, and it did not earn its money back. English terms.it bombed, bad! I'd say they lost almost 100 million dollars, if not more, depending on how much they spent on promoting. I didn't even feel like this was Alice In Wonderland, although Alice does reprise her role. It seemed like it was all about the queen, how she became evil, and involved way too much time focusing in on her, rather then spending time on Alice and her quest to save the sick Mad Hatter. The script is below standards, and I just felt as if Tim Burton could have done this a lot better. To put some good thoughts into play, I thought the imagery and the special effects were mind blowing.

It's obvious of the green screen they use in several scenes, but it is easily forgiven because the rest of the film is so lushly detailed. The makeup artists did a wonderful job, too. It's not a bad movie, I didn't feel like it was good enough to be worthy of the Alice In Wonderland title.

I thought this installment tried to put a little more emotional elements to it, however, it falls flat on its face, when it seems as if the characters just showed up to a job, and made it apparent that nobody really wanted to be there. Even the Queen Of Hearts seemed to lack most of the energies she created in the 2010 predecessor. Truth be told, this would have been a great movie if the script wasn't so shallow, and if the characters would have had a little bit more.life to them! These factors alone drag the rating down, unfortunate enough. Much respect goes to the strong efforts and the strong foundations that the film makers tried to build on, so all in all, I'm giving ATTLG 6 out of 10 stars.
