LEARNING SKILLS The students will acquire those tools which will enable them to autonomously study and increase their linguistic and metalinguistic skills in the Spanish language and culture. Verification of learning The final exam will include both a WRITTEN part and an ORAL one in two parts (same day): 1) conversation with a mother tongue instructor 2) oral exam about the theoretical part The exam must be completed in all its parts within two exam sessions. The evaluation aims at assessing what follows: - the written part of the exam will test the students’ acquisition of Spanish Language and Culture foreseen in the C1 level of the CEFR for Language). It includes a grammar, vocabulary, structures and linguistic functions questionnaire and the writing of a 250-300 words text. - The first part of the oral exam (conversation) will test the students ability of talking about Spanish culture and the topics studied during the practical part hours. - The second part of the oral exam will require the students to discuss in Spanish the issues on Spanish Linguistics dealt with during the 20-hour lectures and in the bibliography.

To obtain 30/30 cum laude students have to demonstrate an excellent competence and knowledge of all the parts of the program. The students will be allowed to skip the written test and the conversation part of the oral exam if they hold recently obtained international certifications (DELE, minimum level C1). For those students who will regularly attend at least the 70% of the lectures, the final mark will be made up of mid-term assessments as well, and of the practical work carried out in class, which will be evaluated (portfolio).
